This special mezcal was made with 8YO agave Espadin by mezcalero Doroteo Garcia in Tlacolula, Oaxaca. Agave is cooked in an underground oven using code, holm oak, or Peppertree which gives mezcal the desired smoke for cocktails. After cooking for about 5 days, the agave is pressed with tahona before being incorporated into the 1,500-liter fermentation. This mezcal has notes of grass, squashy smoke, and fresh peach. Verde Momento is compiled into many non-identical labels which all are the same.
